Christmas party (Anson won the competition for the uggliest X-mas sweater, wearing an awful fluffy sweatshirt with a pug) brought me to rainy Copenhagen this year where the Mermaid was definitely overadvertised (full of Japanese tourists clamping to it as if it had magical powers) but the museums - definitely not advertised enough. The grand National, the National Library hosting photo and literery exhibitions, the Nicholas Church were friendly and cheap if not for free.
Be sure you checked out: Danish design (i.e. illum store), minimalistic clothing (i.e. in Rude), great museums, the district Nørrebro, Scandinavian food: Smørrebrød, salads with fish, expensive Glögg @SpottedbyLocals.
